id Software since Doom 3 in 2004 has helped publish or produce games the biggest being the re-release of Wolfenstein developed by Raven Software. So yes, my not including of this is a tad unfair. My point is essentially that it is time for some new blood in gaming. Sure companies like id Software and Blizzard still create good games, but if they aren't releasing titles every other year or two, then they should not be held in the same esteem they were in their heyday in the 1990s. Blizzard is an exception to this because with every WoW content patch, they are essentially releasing a new game. Not to mention the every expansion pack for WoW every 2 years or so.

Not to pick on another point, but Sakamoto is still creating hits, just not Metroid hits. Wario Ware, Tomodachi Collection, and Rhythm Heaven are all his brainchildren, which explains the internal esteem he gets within Nintendo (as these are the kinds of cheap-to-make-sell-millions games all publishers love)

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
