More proper to say that on Jan 1 there were more PS3s on store shelves than there were 360s.  Remember PS3 still had holiday push in Japan to be prepared for. 

I expect 1st qtr shipments for 360 to be about 1 million more than PS3 shipments for the same period.

I will bet that xbox 360 ships more then ps3 next Quarter.

even with the launch of kinect, a new slim model, halo reach and extreme advertising, they didnt sell more xbox 360's? so what on earth is gonna push it next quarter? enlighten me. sony have to sell 2.8 million ps3's AT THE LEAST to reach their target. i dont see microisoft shipping 3 million 360's next quarter.

They are resupplying and that will be a lot of xbox's shipped. Kinect is not over and the kinect effect is still very much in effect. I haven't seen a Kinect 360 bundle anywhere in supply. If they do get some, they are gone. Stand Alone kinect is always in supply but that's the deal. Kinect is selling to new customers, casual customers. The gap will open up this year, count on it.  PEACE
