1. It's funny how whenever someone wants to bash the PSP, they always do so by comparing its sales figures to those of the DS. That's really flawed because the DS is outselling everything, and if you're going to bash the PSP for being outsold by the DS, then what does that say about the 360 which is being outsold worldwide by the PSP? The 360 outsells it by a slim margin in N. America, but the PSP destroys it in Japan, and in Europe, where it launched a mere two months prior to the 360, it has moved more than twice as many units.

2. Even when you compare it to the DS, the only place where it's really behind is in Japan. Without Japan, the difference is actually about 25 million to 16 million.

3. The PSP has already outsold every handheld that wasn't made by Nintendo several times over, and is on the verge of matching the sales of the Xbox and Gamecube in half the time.

4. In regards to the comment about the DS being "kiddie", it does have a very broad appeal, but handhelds have traditionally skewed towards a younger audience. As has been said, they keep kids quiet in the car and in the grocery store, bank, etc. The main draw of a handheld is portability, and kids have a lot more time on the go to play games.

5. The PSP was meant to target adults moreso than other handhelds. You can tell that by the game library, the multimedia functions, and the launch price, and it's done a damn good job in a market that has been dominated by Nintendo since the beginning.

1. Well yeah, you'd of thought handhelds would have competed with handhelds right? What a joke right? *rolls eyes. Oh yes and comparing apples to oranges (handhelds to consoles) doesn't really so much establish a valid point in your argument as it does to show desperation in trying to vindicate pride in a failing system.

2. Well then let's nuke Japan, because they don't count anytime they support a system you don't like, wonderful logic, why do we even include on the chartz here? Brilliant.

3. Care to show any figures to back this up? And pardon me, "any handheld Nintendo hasn't made several times over"? You mean like the Virtual boy? Lol. And again with the comparing handhelds to consoles, is that your only real defense?

4. Not this shit again, Nintendo could have "MURDER-RAPE-A-BABY" the game as their top selling title and you'd still find an excuse to call them kiddie crap. And don't act like you're some damn market analysist on the matter either, it just makes your attempts to feignly play the unbaised realist all the more pathetic.

5. Yes Adults, because adults like short battery lives, a pitiful game library, pop culture trend movies that appeal largely to flighty teenagers, and a UMD format designed specifically to be child friendly with a protective case. Wow is there no limit to your brilliance?

Points 4 and 5: If you throw a brick from the highest building in Tokyo there's a 50% chance it will hit an adult carrying an NDS Lite.

And yeah, that stat was coaxed out of my rectum, but there are far more adults that own NDS Lites than Lord N would like to give it credit for.
