Well, lets compare the figures to Jan 2006 for a minute. Firstly - 5 week reporting season - so take 20% off *everything* (console sales, software sales, etc..). Jan 2006 - 360 sold 270k (now sold 265k) - same. Jan 2006 - PS2 sold 317k (now sold 270k) - down by about 15%. Jan 2006 - DS sold 177k (now sold 230k) - up by 30% adjusted. Jan 2006 - PSP sold 208k (now sold 204k) - the same. (no comparison for Wii or PS3, as they weren't out then). ... So the only console to show "adjusted" rises for the matching period 12 months ago - is the DS. Lets just wait until Pokemon DS comes out, and see what happens to the sales. (I am actually surprised - firstly that the DS *did* pick up based on last year, and that last year the PSP outsold it in the same period! Sony are going BACKWARDS with the PSP, not forwards). ... As for "its a pity that the DS still outsells it only because mainly games of the 2005 as Brain..." - for a system to sell well, the titles have to appeal to a wide audience. Its not about selling 20 games to 10 million people, its about selling 2-3 games to 100-million people. Wait for Pokemon, Brain Training II, Dragon Quest, FFXII - and a few surprises.
