| oniyide said: @lordtheknight deceptive marketing campaign??? how so, cause like I said i didnt even see any tv ads in the US so not sure where your getting that from. If Sony was that good at marketing like you suggest they would advertise all their games like that, the people who bought this game was NOT deceived they knew exactly what they were buying and as for those people who said it was loved by all im sure that way hyperbole, how else do you explain the game selling more than a mil and I did not hear that much negativity toward it at least not from the ones who actually played the damn thing oh and Carl no way in hell did FF13 play anywhere like the other FFs not even close |
I've seen the trailers, even if you haven't. Also, just because Cage might not have made the game for the mainstream doesn't mean Sony was going to accept niche sales (even if less than it was). They gave too much money to have the game made to not hype it to hell, and almost none of the hype showed how the game actually played (there was some, but those were very few, like I think one video of the first ten minutes).
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs
