Well Nintendo hasn't announced that one of their main Pokemon games would get loads of loosely related spinoffs before the upcoming main game even proved it was popular enough to warrant it. Or made loads of spinoffs of their biggest game that just convoluted it instead of an outright remake (which the latter happened).

And Pokemon sticks with the tried and true with the main games, while the side games do the experimentation (like Dragon Quest).

So I agree that both are being milked, but Nintendo is doing it right.



A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
