Pretty crazy analysis you have here, and quite inaccurate as well. They only reported the shipped figures twice, two weeks after release and during CES. And no, the game didn't flop in any region.

so, they did announce them twice, and the only thing that i said that could be innacurate is saying it flopped badly, yeah you are right it didnt flop badley, it flopped mildly in the states and in japan

I wouldn't say it flopped in either. It's at where GT4 was in 10 weeks, after 9 in the States. In Japan, it did worse than I expected, but my opinion (and yours for that matter) doesn't represent what was expected from the relevant party. For all anyone knows, it may have sold exactly as expected there.
If you said it sold badly for what the franchise is known for in Japan, I'd have less of an argument. But again, Sony's expectations are the ones to go by.
