I like how he mentioned Oblivion when speaking of good graphics.

well it is a good looking game with RPG elements played in ether the first/3rd person (lol) with horses and fighting in a medieval setting what other game could he use?

I don't know. None? You just made me realize how few WRPGs there actually are.

lol I just wanted to bump my thread, Oblivion is probably the most successful fantasy RPG with good graphics, but that was the one point I didn't really agree with him on...

still I guess he could have used Two worlds 2 or that new Gothic game or that Risen game lol, still none of those really look much better than Oblivion on PC and didn't sell nearly as much

P.S. I guess this means that Mount & blade 2 will have oblivion like graphics... Which means I probably won't be able to put army size into the thousands when I get my new PC... Bummer

"I just wanted to bump my thread" lol

I kinda agree with him too. Oblivion doesn't look clearly better than M&B. M&B in some ways has better graphics than Oblivion, and in some ways worse. So he dissed his own game lol.

About the thousands in M&B battles. How big battle size do you currently have in M&B?

about 150 the standard max usually as that slows my comp down enough but there are mods that let you push it as high as a 1000 if your PC can take it, but it need insane CPU to do lol which is the weakest part of my current build... I want to do it more for seeing what it's like than actually playing it TBH I think it would look cool to see a sea of soldiers especially on siege maps coming up one funnel, but practically battles would just take too long and make your character pretty insignificant. Oh and from what I have seen the pathing kinda goes to shit when I tried to push the battle size up in the past.

the funny thing with mount & blade vs Oblivion in graphics is Oblivion has beautiful vistas with seas of grass and trees with no more than a dozen NPCs where as M&B has relatively sparse landscapes with hundreds of NPCs on screen at once.
