i think its a big step up, so many games rely on dual analog sticks, and many people prefer to play games using dual analog sticks.
I was surprised when the original psp didnt have two analog sticks it so clearly needed it! I was even more surprised when the 3ds only had one, seriously while i was watching a vid of someone playing kid icarus on 3ds it looked awkard as hell, i wouldnt play a game using that control scheme for an extended period of time. That being said ive neva tried it out.
Glad the ngp has two atleast it gives me that option. And touch screen emulation of analog sticks is simply not as good.
