I don't come across this anymore....but that's just because I stopped going to IGN/Gamespot message boards.
It should be noted, however, that when I was at Gamespot there was a poll on the tracking sites. You all know them. NexGenwars, Console Wars, and this one.
VGchartz won in a landslide and was considered the sales standard (outside of NPD).
