i normally like to comment on sales number. after all, this is a tracking website.

however, with VGC's 'preference' on a console and then having to go back time and time again to adjust it down. What's the point of commenting?

I agree the constant adjusting (in large amounts in some cases) makes the discussing of the sales seem pretty pointless when there is such a high margin for error.. I heard the 360 was adjusted down like over a million units??

But it's better than nothing, and there are no better alternative at the present time, at least for free.

lol at the fact that the 360 was as much as 1million overtracked in the first place, but didn't alot of people including me say that x360 was selling more on here than it had on shelves, and you wonder why sites don't take vgc seriously, 1m is more than 10% overtracking

anyway i dont believe thees numbers especially seen as ms already declared shortages

Correct me if Im wrong, but didn't the PS3 see a massive adjustment down as well? Not as much as the 360, but definitely a big amount. I remember the difference yesterday being 3.7 million worldwide after the first adjustment, and now it says a 4.2 million WW difference and the 360 number doesn't seem to have changed since yesterday. If so, that means the PS3 saw around a million drop.

Not saying your point about the overtracking is wrong, I just found it interesting that you singled out the 360.

Anyway, a shortage is when supply doesn't meet demand. You can still sell shit loads of systems and have a shortage. Prime example being the Wii back when it was selling by the millions and yet it was damn near impossible to find one in stores.

The adjustments this week in EMEAA was:

PS3 UP 100k
360 DOWN 300k
Wii DOWN 600k

The difference about in the GAP from 3.9m to 4.1m was because the PS3 UP down from 200k to 100k and 360 DOWN up from 400k to 300k.
