I have to admit that they didn't show anything I didn't expect. Looks decent though. But since games are on cartridges and PS3 games are like at least 10 gig in size, wouldn't that make games really expensive? Could potentially be £50/$60-$70 per game? Like N64 games.

Can get 32 GB flash cards for $70 regularly these days. 16GB for $35. Prices are dropping fast.

That's still expensive and they haven't even got any data on them. Plus MGS4 is like 42 gig.

Those are retail prices for SD Cards. Manufacturing costs for ROM cards should be significantly less.

MGS4 may be 42GB for the PS3, but that's not what it will be for the PSP2. The textures are going to get scaled down, regardless that the resolution is pretty darn awesome for a handheld, it still pales in comparison to 1080p games meant for 32" screens. My guess is the textures could be cut in half or even more, along with some other changes, could be made to fit into a 16GB cart. I doubt we will see games costing more than $39, certainly no more than $49.

Alright that sounds better, wasn't really looking forward to paying £50 for games again. Plus you're probably right that the scaled down textures won't be as noticeable on a smaller screen.

Just to add to this, MGS4 is really the exception rather than the rule. Most multiplat games on PS3 manage to compress on 6.8Gb of a 360 DVD so I think the majority of games will only need 8Gb carts max.

Obviously, Square Enix and Kojima games would probably be exceptions (and possibly Bioware if they release anything).
