Another factor I see is the growth of tablets. Schools are starting to use tablets such as the iPad. Parents are buying their kids iPads and iPod touch in lieu of gaming systems. I think buying an iPad which can be used for productive activities is more palatable to parents than a gaming first system.
Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.
