I understand that having a portable PS3 sounds cool in theory, but isn't that a bit redundant? I dunno about you guys but I like my home console and handheld experiences to be different. Sure, people who are really into trophies will probably eat this up but what about the average consumer?

psp2 has a touch screen, gyro accelators(or whatever theyr called), its not a ps3. yes its going to have ps3 ports. but its not the ps3 experience going handheld, its using aspects of the ps3 to improve, and to make it more social.

The touch screen and camera are the only new features and they've both been present in many other devices so far. The gyroscope, while probably much more accurate than six axis, is still of a similar ilk to the PS3's controllers. It has potential for sure however this feels very similar to the PSP to me. Was I the only one who was half expecting Sony to actually be ballsy and try something outside the box?

what their are dual analog sticks, and the touch buttons on the back. also its going to have a cloud system and 3g(im ot sure if its pad subscription) and multiple ways to play a game(according to ign in the uncharted demo you can use butons or the touch screen an buttons). other then that its going to have trophies

and thats not ballsy?

What was the PSP's strategy? It was to reproduce home console gaming for a handheld platform. What is the NGP's strategy? It is to reproduce home console gaming for a handheld platform. I was kinda hoping Sony would put all their emphasis on the UI and form factor. Maybe I'm crazy but this whole upcoming handheld generation just feels like round 2 to me. Two stubborn japanese electronics companies sticking with the same exact strategies. One wanting the same outcome and the other wanting the opposite outcome.

the ngp does produce console gaming for a handheld platform(with the addition of the other analog stick) but like i said before it has multiple ways of usage. so not only does it reproduce console gaming, but it also reproduces another way of gaming. also nintendo is also trieng to reproduce home console gaming on a handheld with the addition of the circle pad, but to a lesser extent then the npg. all sony is doing is trieng to innovate and improve their handheld, and if that means home console like feature then so be it, at least their is an alternative.

dont call sony and nintendo stubborn, in the world of buisness the point is to make customers happy and get money(well mostly getting money), and nintendo is doing that, and sony is trieng to do so.

Being in 3rd place never felt so good
