MadWorld was very low budget. I finished the game in less than 5 hours and I died a lot.
TC... Maybe it was expensive for HVS themselves but as far as I know Sega only did the game-printing and marketing. And HVS said that they were happy with it when TC sold 350k. So yes I think it was very low budget.
Wait what? Sega hated Nintendo at that time. Only after it became clear Sega products were selling better on Nintendo platforms ended that.
Which advertisement budget? I know their were a few ads in America but here in Europe I saw nothing not even an internet banner.
Could be. Now I know that C2 releases at the same time as 3DS I'm sure Sega can't stay off the dreamcast weed.
I picked up TC a few weeks after launch and I bought MadWorld about a month ago for €10 and I have to say that I don't think both games are worth the full price. Both also started to sell better after a price drop so I think a lot of gamers agreed. Still a lot of games are going to the bargain bin even if they sell well Ubisoft does that a lot.
See my post to oniyde. Also I don't trust internet hype for sales. Eternal Sonata and The Club also had a lot of internet hype.
"That's why these games are considered failures and in the end Sega pulled back core support on Wii."
That's SEGA's mistake not mine or from the core gamers. but TC got a sequal that's enough indication for me.
"The combined sales of Vanquish are almost at a half million and its still going for $60 at most retailers."
I got no idea what's the case in America but here in The Netherlands retailers dropped the price below €30 already. And since Vanquish was doing worse that MadWorld it's strange they did not drop the price...
Well all 3 games had a marketing budget of shit and Vanquish is multiplatform a more expensive game to make(see Chrizum)
