They're just going to latch on to some other "fact" (real of rumored) so they can continue hating the 3DS/Nintendo. I've seen this time and time again - a thread (anywhere, not necessarily VGC), where people would jump on some rumor and proclaim it the end of their world, supposedly they were "going to get the 3DS day 1 until they found out that x", and then if/when "x" is dispelled in the same thread, they say "yes ok but" and almost magically some other rumor which they accept unquestionably as fact becomes the reason they no longer want a 3DS 
Of course this is true not only for the 3DS, it's just the latest and presently most popular device to get this treatment.
