You do know that 3G isn't actually that fast (well not everybody has the fastest available speeds, so developers would go with the lowest)  and would support a max of 4 players over 3G as seen on the iphone? heck most graphicaly heavy FPS on the iPhone don't even support multiplayer over 3G only over Wifi (10 players) and 3G drains the battery incredibly fast..  not to mention incredible lag when moving around in a car or bus.. even topdown race games like Reckless Racing have lag while playing over 3G..
