I'll give you a quick comparison. In the weeks GT5 was released Halo Reach was on its week 9 and sold between 110-300k till week 17. GT5 is at week 9 at 90k and will only continue to drop. GT5 will surely show better legs then Reach in the long run, but holiday sales are that big of a factor as you will see GT 5 week 9-17 will probably be 40-90k weekly. Had GT5 been released at the same date as GT4 while first week sales would have probably been similar, Its sales over the next 8 weeks would have been half of what they are now. Still great sales but comparing aligned sales as proof that it will sell similar amounts to GT4 is laughable. |
