Rubbish. Achievements arnt there to tell you how to play the game, they're to prolong teh game and they do a good job.

I play through the game once, without even thinking about achievements. Then I'll go through again to get the rest of the achievements I missed.

I wouldn't have touched Bioshock 2 multiplayer without achievements, but I did, and played for hours and loved it.

This is just Nintendo trying to justify why they won't do them.
