I dont know why xbox 360 fanboys exist.. usually fanboys support the underdog! microsoft is a rich company i never seen people praise and support a "rich company".

all the gaming companies are "rich"... so what you are really saying is there shouldn't be any fanboys right?
|
I think he means super duper rich

Sony may not have as much money sitting in the bank, but I wouldn't say it is any less rich than Microsoft, they just have a lot of their money tied up in assets. And Nintendo is probably the most profitable of the 3, they just aren't as big and are a lot more specific.

market cap: basically the money you have to pay to buy the whole company
market cap MS: 239.73 market cap Sony: 34.34 market cap: 34.93
Profit:
Profit MS: 20.6 billion USD Profit Sony: 0.97 billion USD Profit Nintendo: 1.91 billion USD
Profit Margin:
Profit Margin MS: 31.32% Profit Margin Sony: 1.08% Profit Margin Nintendo: 12.58%

So no, there is no way Sony is as big as MS. Heck, Bill Gates is rich enough to buy Sony just for the fun of it. And no, Nintendo is not the most profitable out of the three.

as far as market cap, yes, microsoft is quite a bit larger. (for now anyway) My point was more big picture like assets (ie factories, employee, etc.) Sony is just as big as Microsoft in that aspect, they just make a lot more profit because there is a lot more margin in software than hardware.
End of the day though, Google and Apple are going to rule the world, so these 3 companies aren't going to be relevant for much longer.
