Its just the nature of the beast. It doesnt' even have to be a new Nintendo product first, MS or Sony could release first or at least offically discuss a next gen product. Once that happens the next gen is officially beginning in less than 12 months. I said it once, I said it a million times... next gen will start in 2012. Personally, I think we'll see MS and Nintendo make a splash towards the end of this year or E3 2012 at the latest. Then Sony will follow as to not be left behind. |
M$ has said that they wont abandon 360 before Sony abandons PS3 and while a new generation does not mean that the last gen is over, i do think that Sony will probably be before this time. Nintendo i cant really tell though.
