Nintendo doesn't like giving choices to their consumers.

Choice? As far as I know I don't have the choice to disable trophies on my PS3 or achievements on my 360 (if I could I'd do it).

You have the choice to ignore them or use them to your benefit.

You have two options to choose from, Nintendo give you none.

So, like, if I have sex in front of you. You have the choice to ignore me... right?

Yup or I can join in on the fun. It's all cool in the world of analogies.

To the OP:

I'd also like to point out that their argument about why they want achievements is also pretty stupid. I get the same amount of exploration and focus out of my HD games as I would out of a Wii game. I played Infamous the first time without even looking at the trophies, then I did it again a second time and by the third play through I had run out of things to do and I looked to the trophies to just push me through a third play through and still keep it interesting and fun. Mario games do the the same thing with stars, they offer an obstacle and give you a listed achievement once that obstacle has been accomplished. Trophies and Achievements are like an evolved form of star collection, the only difference is that they are an optional side game.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.
