I can avoid it on PC due to dedicated servers thankfully, but on consoles it's not easy at all.

Well many 1st party PS3 games run on dedicated servers. MW2 seems to have issues right now but it is p2p.

I think games like KZ3 for example should be fine because unless I am mistaken, it should be easy to track the cheaters if those hacks mess with the info on the server at all.
