It's not fan hope. The Wii is dropping much faster than the PS3. It could happen as early as next week! And saying there's no way in hell is going pretty far, don't you think? It will happen sometime this year, as it did last year.

Well the Wii is still a lot cheaper than the PS3, and if there is a price cut for the PS3, despite the price cuts of the Wii or 360, the PS3 could edge it out. but it also depends on how Sony advertises their upcoming software, i think LBP2, and Killzone 3 next month are going to help a lot.

and to an extent its also based on the 360, the PS3 and the 360 compete for the same market, if the PS3 can edge out the 360 for the next few months with the software, then its possible that the PS3 will edge out the Wii, although not by much. but Microsoft also compete for the casual market now, that could be affecting the Wii's sales also.
