Turning 3D off nets you 8 hrs.

Turning wifi off gets you even more.

Turning the brightness down....

And the DSLite had stronger battery life and a brighter screen in addition to weighing less. The 3DSlite will be the same thing, and slightly cheaper. I can wait.

It's just that simple.
