The Amazon deal has been going on for a couple of weeks now; and I thought Best Buy had a $50 gift card with 160GB purchase last week as well.
I would guess that these stores are slightly oversupplied and trying to get rid of extra stock. Regardless, thier loss is my gain as I was looking to replace my 60GB PS3 (the 60GB originals are the only model that really seem to give people problems, right?).
