Looks like the Sony's destroying it's console one step at a time... xD. I feel sad that I am laughing this much. I'm tempted to believe this is false and leave it at that

You know guys it actually doesn't make sense. How do Sony make 1,000,000 Blu Ray discs and then give each a unique key? If it were possible to give each disc a unique key then surely the PC publishers would have done so years ago.

Yes, it's all Sony's fault and George Hotz is an innocent little lamb who honesty expected that his CFW would prevent pirates from playing backups.
Sony would indeed be destroying its platform by doing nothing at all. Going the serial way might not stop piracy, but all these a**holes will at least be kept offline.
And yes, producing millions of keys is very possible, just ask Microsoft. The difference with the PC world is that Sony has a private network to protect. If the integrity of PSN is compromised, then the PS3 is finished.

Who the hell cares? It was Sony's own damn fault for screwing up so monumentally that it could have been confused for intentional.

So any company without a perfect security system has only itself to blame. Thieves robbing your house couldn't be blamed for doing it because you didn't happen to live in an unpenetrable fortress.
