I was wondering the same thing about the internet connections. We have 1mb internet that is wireless to a receiver on our house and then wireless to our PS3, and I rarely have problems. You people really do need to get new internet or something, because the P2P servers are good in my opinion. My only complaint is when I first got the game, it seemed like it would always lag for just a couple seconds immediately when the session started, but I haven't noticed that problem for quite some time now. |
The connection speed hardly matters in games, what matters is the quality of the connection, or as some people call it: ping.
If you have a bad ping but a 40 mb connection, you will still lag. Which is why dedicated servers are so awesome because they have awesome connection and act as a host does in a P2P match, which means no more host advantage or severe location disadvantages. Also all major processing is done in the server itself, so it reduces the lag even more.
In the case of dedicated servers, the only way you can lag is because of your connection or some glitch. Or if the dedicated servers aren't that good.
