Well, it'd be nice to love this game, FF is my alltime favorite series, but I'm convinced that people are just blind because it's Final Fantasy. I tried to blind myself, I know how it feels to be in denial...that's how I pushed myself so hard to finish it even though I couldn't stand it right from the beginning, I kept telling myself "it'll get better", and it never did. even when I got to the end I was telling myself "hey, it didn't suck"...but when I had some time to meditate on it, I analysed every part of the game...and other than the graphics and animation, there was nothing that was done right. story was jumbled and poorly presented, the characters 2 dimensional, no depth at all...the battle system was flawed. Don't tell me it wasn't, I've been playing games longer than most people I know, hardcore since Atari, and I can tell you that the combat system was horribly flawed. I'd love to explain it to anyone who wants to listen, but I'm not gonna do it without prompting.
