No it didn't. this is UK. Go look at the numbers, within a few weeks 360 > PS3 in the UK after its price cut.
PS3 has never posted above 1 million units in the UK in any given year. 360 price cut in 08 propelled it to 1.4 mill and Kinect this year to 1.6 mill
