Yeah, it's one of the most prestigious races in current motorsports: http://www.lemans.org/en/

It's done with teams of 2-3 pilots, each taking 8 hours turns. 

In GT5, the Cr reward isn't that great, only 831K Cr. I don't know how much is the Exp reward, but I do hope it's substantial, as the Tsukuba 9 hours was 1.2M exp.

Sorry, I should of rephrased my question: does this 24 hours race on your PS3 console take 24 real life hours?

And speaking of pilots, in-game you youself can be all those 2-3 pilots?
