Most publishers are playing it safe not investing in the Wii because they don't know when the bubble will burst.
That being said, it is techincally Nintendo's fault, they usually dictate the pace of their own consoles and with them releasing and selling Wii fits, parties and reviving the 2D platformer (poor Klonoa was once again ahead of his time) on the Wii the third parties mainly just try to follow suit.
