| jagui said: For those who say my wii is moded, I burned a gamecube disc (metroid prime. I can do it, I bought the original) And the wii said "the disc couldn't be read", so I don't think it has a modchip; or it has one and it's bad installed... I can't believe that my wii is moded if I buyed there, maybe it's a "chinese wii"??? llike it's not nintendo qualty and it's a clone. Oh, and I don't know a lot of English, but I could understand all the other posts. |
If the Wii never had a mod chip in it (if you think) to begin with, why try a game that you burned (a ROM) and play it on the Wii? Wii, to my knowledge, cannot read pirated copies of games UNLESS it has a mod chip in it to read and decipher it. Why not try a regular GameCube game.
I know that it made those weird sounds and tries to install something; that happened to me for the first time this past Christmas when I put the new Wii Fire Emblem game in and it wouldn't load. I unplugged it, put the disc back in and it played fine. I think recent and newer games have 'something' on them and the Wii has a harder time reading the disc.
EDIT: If the Wii was 'modified' to have decals (the Zelda look), then yes, it may have been opened if the persons who had it before were installing some lights to light it up.
