I've been saying this for a while and its a pretty obvious prediction.  But, hey, blame the media for asking the man for a prediction every 15 minutes and then making it a story (and then the requisite gaming forum thread ...).

Actually the 360 had its price cut the same week the ps3 slim was revealed in 2009. It was just overshadowed but the ps3 slim at the time.
