Can't resit on the PC / Console for FPS.

The difference can be quantified in that a mouse gives measureably (and demonstrably) more precision that a gamepad.

Now, I'm not saying better as an opinion or people shouldn't play FPS on consoles (after all I do).

All I'm saying is the best FPS player in the world on a mouse/keyboard should (and very probably would) be able to beat the best FPS player in the world on a gamepad simply because his input device gives him more precision and control.

That difference means a few millisecods more accuracy to make a kill of course.

So while I generally don't get into the whole PC / Console thing as I think its stupid - there is no denying the mouse/keyboard gives better input for FPS.

And that better input truly makes a difference sometimes.  There's some great console FPSs, and you could arguably play any FPS designed for a PC on a console eventually just using analog sticks, but that control method will never be as versatile as a 101-key keyboard combined with a very precise mouse.

Console FPSs are great, and you can choose to like them better than PC FPSs.  What I am saying is that, in Half Life 2's case, the game is DESIGNED around the keyboard and mouse, and if you think the game is slow, awkward, anything like that running through your mind while playing a console version, it's because it's the console version!

Console gamers clock a ton of hours into Halo and such because those games are tailored for consoles.  PC gamers clock a ton of hours into TF2 and such, because they work SO well on the PC.  If you have not played the PC versions of these games, you really can't understand.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
