I didn't say either or situation was worse, I was just pointing the differences, and why they caused such a difference of a opinion, which was your main focal point, people not bitching about these shortages. You seem to have completely overlooked all the valid points I made.

People questioned early 09 360 shortages, including me, so it isn't an exclusive anti PS3 thing.

nope I'm saying reasons beihind the shortages vary, obviously, I knew that even before you pointed it out. What I'm saying is it really doesn't matter when the outcome are the same, shortages, which kinda sucks. But we won't know for 'sure' how much sales were lost cuz of shortages for either console. So that's a useless argument, only backed with speculations

I would love to have the links to those threads, at least one or two, about 360 shortages being fake. If not nope, not the same treatment. But again, it's good such bs isn't around now and I hope it stays the same in the future for ALL consoles. This is all I have to say on the matter

Ya well obviously the outcomes are the same, and obviously we won't know what sales are lost, I don't know why you're stating the obvious. Your post was bitching abotu people saying Sony were lying and MS arnt. I told you why people have those attitudes regarding both situations, because the situations are that much different. It's hard to denie 360 shortages because they're bigger and more sudden, whereas PS3 ones are smaller and more sustained, hence why people didn't believe them. Without any explanation for PS3 shortages, it's kinda hard to swallow they were having supply issues in May due to demand. MS has at least explained the situation to us.

I can't be bothered to go look for them with no search function, but the early 09 360 shortages led to all kinds of speculation, from outright lies to mS putting HDDVD into 360s and then having to recall them (before announcing them) because of blu ray seemingly winning the war. There were a lot of "wtf shortages?" kinds of posts.

Edit - early 09 might be 08, it was so long ago I can't remember what year.
