The PS3 shortages were less believeable because the situations were completely different. PS3's were due to those chips, and it took till June to get them sorted, all the while PS3 stock still remained relatively high anyway.

While those shortages would have had an effect on sales, they wouldn't be on same scale as these shortages because of the circumstances.

fact of the matter is, w/e the reason behind them might be, ps3 had shortages, it was proved, it was mentioned by the media but here we were, people posting one pic after the other about how they saw ps3's and how sony are lying and trying to mislead ppl yada yada yada....it's just total nonsense, which I'm happy that isn't taking place this time around

whether it would have had a big effect or not, who knows. We would never know. But hey w/e you like to think of it, be my guest.

I'm not saying they wernt real, even I found them suspect at one point. But don't ignore the facts. The reasons WHY people thought PS3 shortages were fake, were because PS3 was still selling relatively high and didn't see massive drops after xmas that indicated shortages, that and all shipments ect were pretty postitive for Sony. The shortages lasted for 6 plus months, so again, compared to these 2 months for 360, it was less noticeable. Also the reasons for the shortages are different.

People arnt arguing this time, because it's just stupid to denie their arnt shortages with the info we have. I don't think we really knew why PS3 was in shortage for a few months into the year (could be wrong on that)

So don't chime on like the situations are similar.

not sure why you even think one situation is worse than the other, cuz we absolutely no nothing of it. please spare me the random comments being stated as facts. For all we know ps3 situation might have been worse than the 360 one now.

Anywho not sure what your problem is tbh. I said such whiny threads and posts are not around now, which is GREAT NEWS! I absolutely hated them so this is great news for me, if I wanted to mess with fans like you I could have easily gone out, taken some pics of 360 bundles and such and made a thread on it. not that desperate.

Let's just agree that the ommission of such crap is a good thing k?
