Since ps1 and ps2 were inferior hardware wise, had a higher failure rate than thier competition and still finish first first in each gen. While the ps3 is a beautiful reliable powerful machane and is in third. Logic would dictate playstation fans don't like good hardware.

PS2 and PS1 didnt have a ''high'' failure rate. disc reading error  PS2 was fixed shortly after launch, and PS1's heat problmes were fixed by PSOne. if you wann see high failure rate look at Xbox. 2nd The technical gap between PS2 and Xbox&GameCube was smaller than you think. Not to mention that PS2 played DVDs. PS1 may have been behind N64 tech wise, but it didnt fall short in graphics department. PS1 had one of the most beutifull games of 5ht gen in its libary. And ''good'' hardware isnt alwyas the most powerfull one. I
