Is the Playstation Portable doomed?

So someone remind me when a week has passed and point me to this thread, right?

 And just to stay somewhat on topic, of Sony releases a new model that deals with the loading times and battery life and has built-in memory and sticks in the $150 range, I'll be sure to get that before a 360/PS3 no doubt.
