The last game charted in TOP10 is NFS and sold over 1.2M across all platform. No way GT5 was going to be in combined top10 (seperate too btw). It didn't bomb, it just had games that sold better next to it.

It didn't make the individual SKU top 10 either.  Meaning Dance Central and U-Draw both sold more than GT5 in Dec.  How many people would have made that bet?
