The pattern we now have will remain until something changes. PS3 will beat 360 in EMEAA and Japan and 360 will beat PS3 in US and UK. In tonights NPD i think we will get a better indicator of the PS3's future there for the year. I think in EMEAA sooner rather then later 360 will get a price cut. It has been what three years now since the last proper one? The PS3 will need a price cut in US or it will just continue to fade away. The question becomes how much and can Sony afford it? Their last financial results were not exactly outstanding. Would they be in a hurry to go back to making a loss on the PS3? I doubt it.
I expect 360 to be up yoy slightly and PS3 down yoy. Meaning the gap will have increased but not by much, 500k max i'd guess.
I think it really all boils down to Kinect and how hard they want to push it. If it looks to be losing steam they will re-bundle it and maybe price cut it. I think 2011 is Microsofts year to lose pretty much.
