It does sounds like bad news, but also like normal Nintendo PR, "no plans" usually means "we don't know only Nintendo Japan and maybe Reggie have a clue".
After the release of Monster Hunter Tri they know that the market is there but the cost of translating the product is high and will take time, so they need to measure the demand and the hype before they commit to it. After the release in Japan we will know more, I am still hopefull for this game not so much for Xenoblade and its a shame because I am more excited for that game than this one.
