You tell me how it's not justifiable for me to run home made applications on a console which I paid for. I mean, the PS3 is one hell of a machine. To have it restricted to the functions that Sony decides is absolutley redicolous. What's more redicolous, though, is that I bought the console and used linux on it for two years, then they just take it away from me. This backfired on them hard and I guarantee you they feel stupid about it now. The hacking community was largely ignoring the PS3 because most had what they wanted. This entire hacking effor started after the removal of other os. Now they've found a security hole the size of the atlanltic. Even security updates isn't gonna help Sony at this point. |
because its not the intended use for it. just because you own something doesnt mean its right or legal for you to do whatever you want with it. same with a car yea you own it but its illegal to have nitro in it sure you can do it but there will be consequesnces.
