I agree with twesterm here...
Achievements are great when it comes to replaying classic and retro games. Like... "Play Sonic 2 again, except if you beat it in 45 mins, you get some meaningless points!"... Sweet, where do I sign up!!!???
And knowing nintendo, 3DS is going to be another "remake everything in our back cataloge" types of systems with 3D on top...so achievements like system would be great motivator for me to replay mario 64 for the 10th time.
