The DS family should be tracked seperately

PSP would have be divided by his standards: the 1000 only has 32MB RAM while the 2000/3000 have 64MB.  The Go is also incompatible with UMDs, meaning software incompatibility between lines.  The 3000 has a built in camera, while the Go is incompatible with any games using any camera/GPS add ons.

Of course, PS3, 360 and even older systems like GBA and PS2 have various compatibility issues and spec differences between models anyway.  The entire thrust of the OP is a real non-starter when you actually start to look at any of these systems, DS isn't being held to any different standard already.

What's really funny is that the OP states we should separate the DS models including the 3DS as though that's not done already.  He's posting as if the world associates the 3DS as just the next in the lineup of DS models and not a whole new console.

Are we simply witnessing a Rol style thread here or is the OP serious?
