That looked horribly inefficient to me (as seen by the assault course...or maybe it was just the player, probably both) and completely gimmicky. I don't see the point of a new control scheme if it's actually worse than the current control schemes. Some of the gestures look fun; the jumping for instance, but it also seems like a waste of time when current control schemes . The gesture stuff is already being used in Wii games and to a lesser extent in Move.
Also, at 1:13-1:25, anyone notice how he moves the wii-mote but no actual movement register on the screen?
Anyway, people need to stop thinking of how Kinect will work in current games with well-established control schemes and start thinking how Kinect can shape new and innovative experiences.
