That can't be...if it's really that short it would be impossible to play while recharging, with or without cradle. Heck, just plugging it into the wall would be a pain in the ass unless you want it hanging in mid-air or laying on the floor depending on where you have your powersources.
I don't think that picture resembles the reality. If it does, someone was drunk.
