I liked how it is basically a movie where the outcome depends on both your decisions and your reflexes. The plot was kept me guessing, too.
Really, that type of gameplay can be applied to any genre, even for little kids. That's what intrigues me the most.
By the way, here are some deleted scenes from the game that they just recently released. Explains a few plot holes
