Just one killer app is all they need. Then they bring out the next one when the steam dies down. This has been working for the DS and Wii (although they really mistook Wii Music and Other M for being system sellers).
Bring them all out for launch would be like the PSP, which lost momentum after the first year (although Monster Hunter saved it).
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
