They really more took advantage of a market which was asynchronous to the Wii's core values. The Wii didn't create this market, it always existed. The Wii just couldn't take advantage of it in the same way that Microsoft and Sony couldn't take advantage of the Wii market given how they had created their machines in a certain way.
